Afternoon Tea is a Great British tradition that dates back to the 1840s. A British Duchess introduced the idea as she would often become hungry around 4pm so, she asked for a tray of tea, sandwiches and cake to be brought to her room. Her afternoon cravings soon became a fashionable social event and friends started to join in. We just love an excuse to eat cake!
Our tea menu includes:
A traditional hot beverage A selection of finger sandwiches including - Slow Roast Ham & Coleslaw - Smoked Salmon & Cream Cheese - Mature Cheddar & Chutney - Free Range Egg Mayonnaise & Watercress A Handmade Fruit Scone with Jam & Clotted Yorkshire Veg Crisps A generous slice of cake from the daily cake counter. If you are enjoying a celebration or just treating yourself, you can add a glass of Prosecco or one of our bespoke G&Ts to jazz up your afternoon. **We kindly request that all dietary requirements and special requests are provided prior to arrival.
